Exam season is finally over and we’re delighted to hear that our young people, many of whom have had their own hurdles to overcome during their school career, have had a great time on prom night.
Millie Mai, pictured here in a beautiful lilac dress said: “I found going to prom after all the exams and pressure to be really fun. Seeing most of my friends there made it such a great night and to just be dancing with everyone and not care who saw was truly a great experience. I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by Dennis, pictured below, who added: “After all my struggles and stress over the years it was absolutely incredible to go to prom and spend a few hours celebrating everything I’ve been through and all the obstacles I’ve overcome.”
CLDF’s Young People’s Officer Louise, commented: “It’s wonderful to see some of our Hive members looking fabulous attending their proms, as they say close one chapter and venture onto something new. Many of our young people have had a roller coaster of a ride managing their education and health at the same time, so it’s especially rewarding to see that as their school journey comes to a close, they have been able to have fun and celebrate all their hard work and commitment.”
